Alvin Huey has been observing the deep sky with telescopes ranging from 6" to 30" for over 30 years. Currently, his specialty is observing the more obscure deep sky objects, such as Hickson Groups, Abell Planetary Nebulae, Arp Galaxies, Abell Galaxy Clusters, Shakhbazian Groups, to name a few "lists".

His current setup is a home-built 22" f/4  reflector, a 30" f/4.3 Starmaster and a 6" f/6.5 Antares refractor.   He observes in several sites in the Sierras of northern California with TAC-Sac members.

He regularly attends the Texas Star Party, Golden State Star Party and CalStar.  Be sure to drop by and say "Hi".

His associations are with TAC, TAC-Sac and on occasion with the Sacramento Valley Astronomical Society.
